Dear Pastor,
Hello Pastor, from a fellow soldier and co-worker in Christ Jesus. My family and I would like the
opportunity to personally share our burden for the people of Ghana and present our ministry of church planting to
you and your church. As missionaries, God has called us to Ghana, West Africa. Acts 11:12 “And the Spirit bade me
go...” In 1998 a friend and hero of mine Bro. Bob Hayes was killed in Ghana, in a car accident, along with his
missionary son and daughter. Bro. Hayes and his wife served as missionaries in Ghana for more than 35 years. The
sudden loss of these servants of God awakened an urgent desire in our hearts to help fill the gap left by their
promotion to glory. In 1999, we surrendered to go to Ghana, West Africa as church planting missionaries. Our
sending church is Chippewa Lake Baptist Church in Medina, Ohio.
I received Christ as my Saviour at the age of 5 and grew up at First Baptist Church of Milford, Ohio under Dr. Charles Keen. My elementary and high school education was from Milford Christian Academy and my Bible school education was from the School of the Scriptures at First Baptist Church of Milford, Ohio, home of Bearing Precious Seed. My wife Jackie received Christ as her Saviour at the age of 9. She is the mother of our daughter Naomi and our three sons, Matthew Jr., Joseph and Nehemiah. I met my wife at her home church Chippewa Lake Baptist Church, were I accepted a position as Assistant Pastor in June of 1994.
As missionaries in Ghana, West Africa, our desire is for the lost to be found, and for the saved to be grounded in the Word of God. Our ministry is currently in the city of Sekondi. Where we have planted a church and are establishing it through training up Sunday school workers, leaders and pastors. In May 2010 we graduated two of our young men from Bible school in pastoral studies. In May 2012 we have been honored to Ordain these two men into the Ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. These two, Prince and Koasi, are pastoring now at our church plant, Cornerstone Biblical Baptist Church Sekondi, Ghana W. Africa. Our church is young and excited to serve the Lord. Through evangelism, soul winning, Bible Studies, discipleship, baptisms, continual teaching and training of the Bible, the Lord has brought us this far.
We would are going forward with Evangelism, Bible Studies, & Bible Training for perspective church plants in other surrounding villages.
